Today the Earth Day 2020 is being celebrated all over the world digitally due to COVID-19 crisis. This year, the theme is “Climate Action.”  The COVID-19 pandemic is also linked to the health of our ecosystem. Climate change, man-made changes to nature can increase contact and the transmission of infectious diseases from animals to humans like COVID-19. According to UN Environment: “From one new infectious disease that emerges in humans every 4 months, 75% of these emerging diseases come from animals”. Rural Aid Response to COVID-19

COVID-19 Response in Narowal, Sahiwal and Nankana Sahib Districts

key Activities

Rural Aid is working on the following activities:

A). Awareness Raising campaign about the prevention of Coronavirus and Rights Protection by development of IEC material (Copy attached). These materials disseminated to general public, youth volunteers, MC and DETF members, community members, CBOs, activists and TACS stakeholders through social media, print media/newspapers (copy attached) and WhatsApp massages on regularly basis from 18 March 2020.
