The IUCN Council elects former Minister of State for Environment Malik Amin Aslam Khan as IUCN’s Vice President

The IUCN Council in its first meeting held on January 30, 2013 at Gland, Switzerland

Mr. Malik Amin Aslam Khan, IUCN Vice President.

has elected Mr. Malik Amin Aslam Khan as the IUCN Vice President. Mr. Amin will be holding this position for the next four years (2013-2016).

It is a matter of immense pride for Pakistan that he has been elected as Vice President. Other Vice-Presidents who were elected are Miguel Pellerano from Argentina, John Robinson from USA, and Marina von Weissenberg from the Finland. The Vice Presidents will assist and advise the IUCN President, Mr. Zhang Xinsheng of China.
