IUCN Pakistan and HRDN celebrated International Women’s Day at Port Qasim by planting Mangroves

IUCN Pakistan in collaboration with its Member and partner organizations Human Resource Development Network (HRDN), Health And Nutrition Society (HANDS) and National Rural Support Programme (NRSP) celebrated International Women’s Day at Tor Island, Port Qasim, Karachi. The members of HRDN and IUCN staff members also participated in this activity.

World Wetlands Day 2022 – Message by Mr. Mahmood Akhtar Cheema, Country Representative IUCN Pakistan

Today is the World Wetlands Day. The theme for this year is Wetlands: Action for People and Nature which highlights the importance of actions required to conserve the wetlands and to use them sustainably. This day is celebrated worldwide to raise global awareness about an important role of wetlands in the world. IUCN Member Organizations express concern at threat to the fragile ecology of Attabad Lake and urban flooding in Islamabad

A meeting of the IUCN Pakistan National Committee Members was held on July 30, 2021. The meeting was chaired by Dr. Roomi S.
