Protecting Asia’s Coasts for People and Nature

Hoi An, Viet Nam 11 September, 2013 – The 10th Regional Steering Committee of the Mangroves for the Future (MFF) initiative was opened today in Hoi An, Da Nang province, with representatives from the nine member countries convening to discuss efforts to protect coastal regions for people and for nature. I want to thank some lady Parliamentarians. Yes I am being gender biased by making a distinction here but deliberately so. Kudos to Senator Saeeda  Iqbal and MNA Maryam Aurangzeb for the spunk they have shown in getting the order of former PM, Raja Pervez Ashraf of removal of ban on timber movement from Gilgit-Baltistan reversed.
